Welcome to our new home : 2518 W. State St. It is very nice to be able to refer to our place as a home with a huge basement and no more apartment traffic or smoking neighbors. Below are a few pictures of the house with some boxes that still need to find a home :) I will try and post more later, but hopefully these will satisfy your desires for now.

Changes and finally another post!
Well today marks a very big change in my life. I will no longer be working normal hours 7am-7pm, but rather I will be working when the rest of the world is sleeping (7pm-7am). These 12 hours are also the time that some women decide to go into labor which make the night go by quicker! I owe a big thanks to a friend of mine that took me on a hard run in the foothills because I was tired enough to take a nap before getting ready for work. I also anticipate being very sore tomorrow and wanting to call my friend awful names :)
Anyways I thought I would write a post about my recent trip to San Diego and all the fun it entailed. It was wonderful spending time with the parents, seeing friends from college, and of course being a part of Renee and Dan's wedding. Below I have included pictures in no particular order of some of the fun times. (They are all mixed up because I have yet to figure out how to change the order in this world of blogging!)
Renee showing us all the functions of her new kitchenaid we pitched in to purchase for her. That is the only reason to get married, isn't it!

Random pictures and excitement from the last few weekends
The following pictures are in no particular order, but are here to give you a glimpse into the excitement of my life. (If I was more savvy with blogging I would have the pictures in order, but I am not!) Cortney and I have enjoyed trying to spend more time outside on the weekends since the weather has been nicer.

FYI: food is served quicker when you go to Red Robin with young children!

Birthday week!!!!
Well as we near one week post my birthday I figured I would post a few pictures to help capture the highlights of the week. The fun all began last weekend when my parents arrived to celebrate with me. We had a wonderful time eating out, going to the Saturday market, and of course getting to open presents. Thankfully we were also able to celebrate my dad's birthday a day late with lemon meringue pie!!!!! Below are a few pictures of us celebrating at Texas Roadhouse. More pictures and stories to come once we download the pics from Cortney's camera.

Things I love!
Well I must say this weekend made me realize a few things I truly love, or shall I say it reminded me of the things I hold dear. Having our old roommate Rachel here for the weekend was a blast and sure added excitement to our lives. We were able to show her some of Boise's finest and spend quality time at home laughing and napping in the sun! Unfortunately the weather was not too pleasant, but I just have to agree with Boise natives that say "this is such a long winter!" So below the pictures capture the three things I would have to say I absolutely love.

Fulfilling another tag!

7 Facts
Well I have been tagged by my favorite sister-in-law to inform the blogging world seven random facts about myself. Here we go...
1. Well for starters I should mention that my brother and dad have taught me so much about volkswagen bugs over the years, that I now stop and notice every older VW I see on the road. They have even tried to teach me how to recognize what year the bug is. This picture is a tribute to the ragtop that Glendon drove me to high school in everyday.
2. Since I have moved to Idaho and made some fantastic friends I have decided to be a bit more spontaneous. I recently took and unexpected trip to Jackpot, Nevada with some friends from church. We took the 2.5 hour drive to the border and arrived in 16 degree weather, gambled till 4:30 in the morning and returned home as the sun was coming up. It took a few days to recover!
4. If there was one food item in the world that I had to say I could not live without it would definitely have to be Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. It goes with everything from: sandwiches, vegetables, pizza, crackers, chips, pasta, and the list could go on forever. I must admit I am a bit partial to the packets that you can mix your own dressing.
6. I hate admitting this next random fact, but I take rectal temperatures on a daily basis at work. If anyone wants to know an interesting observation I have made since becoming a nurse it is that newborns cry when you take their temperature under their armpit, but when you stick a thermometer up their backside they usually quiet right down.
