Well I have been tagged by my favorite sister-in-law to inform the blogging world seven random facts about myself. Here we go...
1. Well for starters I should mention that my brother and dad have taught me so much about volkswagen bugs over the years, that I now stop and notice every older VW I see on the road. They have even tried to teach me how to recognize what year the bug is. This picture is a tribute to the ragtop that Glendon drove me to high school in everyday.
2. Since I have moved to Idaho and made some fantastic friends I have decided to be a bit more spontaneous. I recently took and unexpected trip to Jackpot, Nevada with some friends from church. We took the 2.5 hour drive to the border and arrived in 16 degree weather, gambled till 4:30 in the morning and returned home as the sun was coming up. It took a few days to recover!

4. If there was one food item in the world that I had to say I could not live without it would definitely have to be Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. It goes with everything from: sandwiches, vegetables, pizza, crackers, chips, pasta, and the list could go on forever. I must admit I am a bit partial to the packets that you can mix your own dressing.
 5. I used to have tabby cats when I was growing up, but sadly enough most of them lost their lives by being hit by cars in front of our house. One of my favorite cats over the years I would carry around in my overalls and her head would peak out the top. Don't worry this was not last year, but rather in junior high! This particular cat was named Marble and she had four kittens which were all named after flowers despite their gender.

6. I hate admitting this next random fact, but I take rectal temperatures on a daily basis at work. If anyone wants to know an interesting observation I have made since becoming a nurse it is that newborns cry when you take their temperature under their armpit, but when you stick a thermometer up their backside they usually quiet right down.
